Obituary of Dale F Bachman

Endwell, NY - Dale F. Bachman, 84, passed away on October 23, 2018. He was born in Allentown, PA on September 22, 1934, to the late Franklin and Dorothy (Ritter) Bachman. Dale is predeceased by sister Jane Haberern, son Alan Bachman, and granddaughter Sabine Bachman. He is survived by wife Dorothy (Parker) Bachman, daughter Jennifer (Jim) Evans, son Steven (Joanna) Bachman, daughter-in-law Marybeth Putnick, brother-in-law Donald (Kay) Parker, and grandchildren James Parker Evans, Genella Evans, Theo Bachman, Miles Bachman, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dale was a 1956 graduate of Lehigh University in Easton, PA. He went to work for IBM FSD Owego, retiring in 1987 after a 30 year career that included work on the Gemini space program. Dale was a brilliant hardworking engineer and devoted family man. He enjoyed crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, watching sports, the beach, and long summer days at Forest Lake, PA. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2018, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 200 Jefferson Ave., Endicott. Calling hours will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Coleman Daniels Funeral Home, 300 East Main St. Endicott, and for an hour at the church prior to the funeral.
