Obituary of Stephen Joseph Nedlik

Vestal - Stephen J. Nedlik, 81, of Vestal passed away on Saturday January 12th, 2019, peacefully, and surrounded by his loved ones. He is predeceased by his parents, Stephen A. Nedlik and Dorothy Nedlik-Oranchak,and his beloved son, Marc Nedlik, who passed in December of 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mona Nedlik, his son, Steve Nedlik, Granddaughters; Crystal, Ashley, and Colleen, Grandsons, Jordan and Tyler, Great Grandsons; Anthony, Matthew, Dominic, and Xavier, and Great Granddaughter, Juliana. He also leaves behind brothers and best friends, Jerry (Margaret) and Jim (Suzanne) Nedlik, as well as many sister in laws, brother in laws, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. After leaving High School he went into military service, and was a proud member of the United States Air Force for four years. An early entrepreneur, he established his business, Advancetech Products, where he was the sole owner and operator for 40 years. He worked alongside many corporate representatives that he truly respected, and enjoyed working with. He had a deep passion for the outdoors and working with his hands. Fishing was a favorite and loved pastime that he enjoyed not only by himself, but with his sons, and then great grandson, Anthony. He was an exceptionally gifted, and talented gardener. Services will be held on Friday, January 18th at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, located at 765 Main St. in Vestal. There will be a short military service at 3:30 p.m., and calling hours will immediately follow from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
