Richard J. Gowan (Ridley) Share E-mail Visit Guest Book Richard J. (Ridley) Gowan of Vestal Richard J. (Ridley) Gowan, 46, of Vestal, passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 5, 2009, at his home. He was predeceased by his father, Alton Gowan. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Kayla and Alissa and their mother, Kristen of Baltimore, MD; mother, Labba Gowan, Vestal; brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Mary Gowan, Elmira; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and John Parente, Endicott; several nieces and nephews including Chris and Krystle Silvestri, Julie, Matthew, Anna Gowan, John Jr. and Kristopher Parente; several aunts, uncles and family members in Iceland and close friends. Richard was a huge sports fan including the New York Yankees and New York Giants.; he was a loving father, son, brother and friend. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home Inc., 300 East Main St., Endicott. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5 - 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Humane Society, 2 Jackson Ave., Binghamton, NY 13903.
