Obituary of William E Fisher

William E. Fisher of Endicott William E. Fisher, 72, of Endicott, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2009, at his home. He was predeceased by his mother, Lillian and stepfather, Gerald Vosburgh; and brother, Randy Race; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Harry and Isabel Hird. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Peggy Fisher, Endicott; three children, Marty (Kathryn) Fisher, Owego, Kelly (Costas) Arvanitakis, Johnson City, and Daniel Fisher, Vestal; grandchildren, Ally and Larissa Fisher, Cody and Colin Arvanitakis; brothers and sisters, Harold "Bud" and Gay Fisher, Tioga Center, James "Jim" and June Fisher, Dimmit, TX, Dolores "Dee" and Gary Hill, Vestal, Jack and BethAnn Fisher, Pinellas Park, FL, Russell "Russ" and Scotty Race, Vestal, Penny and Kris Buck, Vestal, Patti Folmar and Jim Kennedy, Bridgeport, NY, Pamela "Pam" and Don Petcosky, also of Vestal; several nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Vestal High School, where he excelled in football, basketball and baseball. He was an advocate of his kids and youth sports for Endicott. He was self-employed with Fisher Record and Tape; a very successful businessman for 30 years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home Inc., 765 Main St., Vestal. Deacon Dale Crotsley will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12 noon until service time at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, NY 13850.
