Obituary of Gene Fast

It is with great sadness that the family of Gene Fast announce his passing on Wednesday, April 28th, 2021 at the age of 76. He was born on Thanksgiving, November 24, 1944. Gene is predeceased by his parents, Arthur & Betty Fast, his sister-in-law, Judith Fast, a grandson, Ryan, and a brother-in-law, Leo Leon. He is survived by his spouse, Barbara, of 48+ years, his two children, Gene Fast, Victoria (Seth) Dunn and an unborn grandson. He is also survived by his brother, Dan Fast, brother-in-law, James (Kim) Stewart, sisters-in-law, Joyce Leon, Arline (Charles) DeGroat, Jean-Marie Schirling, Deborah (Joseph) Mason and a very special cousin, Audrey (Charles) Blouch. Gene is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Gene retired from I.B.E.W. Local 3 in NY after working 40+ years. He was a 55 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in New York. The family would like to express a special thank you to two of Gene's favorite caretakers; his nurse, Hillary and his aide, Crystal of Lourdes Hospice. The funeral service will be held at 4pm, Friday, May 7th, 2021 at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC 300 East Main Street, Endicott, NY. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to Mercy House in Gene's name.
