Obituary of Elenor Joan Brutvan

Elenor (Joan) Brutvan, 88, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday July 20, 2021. Joan was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Sadauskas. She is survived by her 4 daughters and their families; Linda (Steve) Allison & Nicholas Matey, Donna (Darrell) Darrell Jr. & Casey Tullar, Roseann (Mike) Bryan, Justin & Nicole Lavo, Janet (Brian) Kyle & Daniel Kliment, 10 great grandchildren, and her brother, Ralph (Maryann) Sadauskas. Joan graduated from Homer Central School in 1950. She worked at GAF, IBM, and Creature Comforts. She was an amazing baker, cook and seamstress. She loved dancing, music and gardening. She loved all animals,her pets were like members of the family. Most of all she loved her family. Joan loved to have fun, her beautiful blue eyes, wonderful smile and heart of gold, will be greatly missed. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 801 Main St., Vestal, NY on Monday at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Joan can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
