Obituary of Helen Zedanovich

Helen A. Zedanovich of Endicott Helen A. Zedanovich "Ma Z", 90, of Endicott, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at Wilson Memorial Hospital with her family at her side. She is predeceased by her husband, Edward in 1989; her brother, Roy Tompkins; her two sisters, Florence and Betty. She is survived by her children: three daughters and a son-in-law, Virginia and Ralph Rogers, Avon, NY, Deborah Marrer and Dan Walter, Vestal, Karen Gonzalez, Vestal; three sons, Thomas, Endicott, John Zedanovich and Gail Slezak, Endicott, Donald, Endicott; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews. Helen was a lifelong resident of Endicott and an employee of Endicott Kmart where she managed the domestic department, retiring at the age of 70. She loved her cats, family gatherings and making holupki. A memorial service for Helen will be held 1 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2009, at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 12 noon until service time at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions in Helen's memory to the Vestal Volunteer Emergency Squad, 324 Myrtle St., Vestal, NY 13850.
