Obituary of Carol A Gow

Carol A. Gow, 83, of Vestal, passed away peacefully Monday morning, October 4, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Glenn Gow, her parents, Clifford and Evelyn Brisco, her in-laws Homer and Doris Gow, her first husband, Edward Griffin; her sister-in-law, Geraldine Gow, her brother-in-laws James Gow and William Wood, her brother Richard Brisco; her sister and brother-in-law Jean and Paul Chauncey, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gerald and Winnie Griffin. She was survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Ellen Griffin, Manlius, N.Y., Tim and Zina Gow, Penn Yan, N.Y., Matt and Kim Gow, Jamesville, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Sean Griffin and Erin Griffin, Timmy and Kevin Gow, Sara and Jessica Gow; Ellie and Adam; her great grandchildren Kaiden, Dailee and Harper; her sisters-in-laws, Sandra Wood, Brackney, Pa., Jackie Brisco, Johnson City, NY, Rebecca Baker, Endicott,.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Gloria Gow, Little Meadows, Pa.; sister-in-law, Barbara Gow, Laurel Lake, Pa.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bud and Betsey Sodon, Montrose, Pa : brothers-in-laws and sister-in-law, James Griffin and Bernard and Clarie Griffin, Friendsville, PA. She was a lifelong resident of Vestal, NY and was a librarian at Binghamton University for over 25 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and the Vestal Center United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St., Vestal, on Friday, from 10-11AM, with a funeral service to follow. Burial will be in Vestal Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of one's own choice.
