Robert R. Oplinger Share E-mail Visit Guest Book Robert R. Oplinger of Binghamton Robert R. Oplinger, 67, of Binghamton passed away suddenly on November 26, 2009 at his home. He was predeceased by his parents, Ray and Beaulah Oplinger. He is survived by a duaghter and son-in-law, Lori and Joseph Strobl, Endwell; son, Ryan Oplinger, Idaho Falls, ID; a brother, James Oplinger, Saratoga Springs, NY; a sister, Jeanne Cressman, PA; his grandchildren, Alyssa and Cassidy Knickerbocker, and Jonah Strobl; and also his good friend and roommate, Gary Darrow. Robert served in the US Army and retired from IBM Glendale. He was an avid fisherman and woodworker and will be deeply missed by his daughter Lori, family and friends. At his request, services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Endicott.
