Obituary of Violet T Bailey

Violet Theresa Bailey (born Martin) on 4/6/1936 in Bronx, NY. She graduated from Walton High School for girls, Bronx NY. She went to work as a secretary at Consolidated Edison where she met her husband John Calvin Bailey. They courted and soon married. Their union was blessed with (5) children Jodi, Kim, John, Robin, and Lori. Violet was preceded in death by her husband John Calvin Bailey; her father Frank Ashburn Martin, Sr.; her mother Leanora Martin (born Forrester); her sister Florence Martin; her brother Frank Ashburn Martin Jr. and grandson Aaron Lee Haruyama She is survived by her Sister Barbara Quann (born Martin) daughters; Jodi Theresa Bailey; Kimschnequa Perry (born Bailey) and her husband Alfredo Perry; Robin Lupita Haruyama (born Bailey) and her husband Stephen Haruyama; Lori Louise Bailey and son John Calvin Bailey, Jr. She was also called Grandmother by Novia Perry, Jared Haruyama, Mark Haruyama, Hope DeVigili, Brandon Bartley, Cherish Haruyama and Skye Haruyama. She was Great-Grandmother to Aiko Haruyama, Judah Haruyama, Alfredo Niebel and Loie Niebel. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Joan Phinizy, Carol Martin, Frank Martin III, Haywood Quann, Leha Quann, Perry Quann in addition to a host of grand nieces, nephews, and cousins in the USA, Jamaica and Canada. Violet Bailey was a beauty inside and out. She was a graceful and stylish woman who was a humanitarian endowed with compassion and wisdom which she loved to share with others.
