Obituary of Jeanne S. Gordon

Jeanne S. Gordon, 83, of Endicott, NY, passed away the evening of January 22, 2022 at UHS Senior Living at Ideal. Jeanne was born February 5, 1938 to Richard and Beverly Schubmehl of Vestal, NY. She attended Vestal High School. On March 6, 1956, she married Robert A. Gordon Sr. Jeanne is survived by her sons, Robert A. Gordon Jr and wife Kathleen, James Gordon, Gerald Gordon and husband Keith Daniels, daughter Chris Gordon and husband Steven Albright, grandsons Robert W. Gordon, Noah Albright, Parker Daniels, granddaughter Megan Daniels-Biango, and great granddaughter Chloe Gordon. As well as her brothers William Schubmehl and wife Mary, Richard Schubmehl and wife Helen, and sister JoAnn Abramow, as well as many nieces and nephews. Jeanne is pre-deceased by her husband, parents, and her youngest son Thomas Gordon. She also lost three babies in infancy. Early in her marriage, she was employed at Cadre's Industries. Later she became a nurse's aide at Ideal Hospital. After taking some time to raise her second batch of children, she returned to being a CNA at Riverview Manor in Owego. Jeanne was a kind and loving soul. She invited friends and family to her home for coffee or Thanksgiving dinner. She enjoyed singing, painting, sewing, and crocheting. Calling hours will be from noon to 2pm on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 East Main St. Endicott, with services to follow.
