Obituary of Margaret A. Bolan

Margaret A. Bolan, 94, passed peacefully through Heaven's Gates on March 21, 2022 at home surrounded be her loved ones. She was predeceased by her parents, Catherine and Walter Metzger and siblings, Francis, Kathleen, Patricia, and Mary Agnus. Margaret leaves behind her loving husband of 69 years, Peter, and sons; Peter, Joseph (Laura), Timothy (Deborah), and daughter, Diane (Chris) Kozecke; Nine grandchildren, Nicole Bolan, Maria (Tyler) Bolan (Hastings), Sarah (Nick) Roos, Michael, Samantha, Danielle (Jonah) Bolan, Daryl, Adam, and Noah Kozecke; Four precious great grandchildren, Nolan, Vivian, Josephine, and Draco. Margaret also leaves her two brothers Jack and David, sister Barbara (Don) Myers, brother-in-law Nick Bolan and sister-in-law Ann Bolan all of Youngstown, OH. Additionally, many nieces and nephews who have fond memories of Aunt Margie. Margaret was an avid Yankees fan and loved watching Tom Selleck in Blue Bloods. She used to walk everywhere possible and also around the Vestal High School track. She loved Sunday family dinners, playing croquet, dress up, dolls, and pirates with her grandchildren. Margaret never let you win at Gin Rummy or War. Margaret bowled in a league until she was 80 years old and just enjoyed having her family around her. Margaret always said she loved everyone a "Bushel and a Peck". A funeral mass will be offered Friday, March 25 at 2PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal, NY. Calling hours will be at the church from 1PM until time of the mass.
