Obituary of Beatrice E Sullivan

Beatrice E. Sullivan (Haight), 84, of Endicott, NY went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 1, 2022. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald C. Haight and her son, John E. Haight. She is survived by her daughter Kelly E. Haight, Johnson City, NY and her daughter Kathleen and son-in-law Paul Hodgeman, Endicott, NY, with whom she resided for the last several years. She also left behind her precious grandchildren: Emily Lewis and her fiance Mike Howland, Endwell NY, Dakota and her husband Codey Beblavy, Endicott NY and Bryanna C. Haight and her husband Sean Cahill, Daytona Beach, Fla., as well as her step grandchildren: Monica Hodgeman, Khristine Hodgeman, Stephen Hodgeman and Patrick Hodgeman. She was blessed to have several great-grandchildren: Xander, Gunner, Rhaegar, Avery and Samson, as well as several neices and nephews and their families. She will be missed by her many grand fur kids, with whom she shared her meals, especially Violet, her constant companion. Bea retired from the Town of Union, Assessors Office. She was a long time member of City Church/First Assembly of God, Binghamton, NY, where she volunteered as a Care Leader and assisted in the Missionettes Program. After Bea retired, she volunteered at the Senior Center of Western Broome serving meals, the Board of Elections, the Humane Society and Animal Care Council, writing Thank You notes. Bea loved to work jigsaw puzzles with her grandchildren and do the daily Jumble with her friend, Liz. She was a huge fan of the New York Mets for many years and cheered them on every season. She enjoyed going out to lunch with her grandchildren and friends. She loved listening to the old hymns and was fond of the Gaithers. She could often be heard singing along. She was devoted to reading her Bible every day and prayed for each person in her family, as well as her many friends. She was a real prayer warrior. Bea was such a kind, selfless and thoughtful woman. She was a good friend to many people, young and old alike. She welcomed everyone with open arms and was loved by everyone she met. She was generous to a fault and always put others needs before her own. Growing up during the war in a rural fishing village on Long Island, she knew poverty. As an adult, she went without, to provide for her family. She never spent much on herself, but gave generously to her church, her family, friends and many charitable organizations. She will be sorely missed by the many people who loved and admired her.
