Obituary of Celesta Gartell

Celesta Gartell, of Mount Laurel, NJ, formerly Endwell, NY passed away peacefully on August 8th, 2022, at the age of 72. Born and raised in Endicott, New York, Celesta was a graduate of Union Endicott High School and SUNY Oswego. Post graduation, she went on to be a dedicated and loving school teacher for over 30 years. Celesta loved to cook, garden, play tennis & pickleball and read, however her greatest love was spending time with her family and grandson. She was a dear friend and an inspiration to all through her resiliency, and her genuine and courageous nature. Celesta will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. She is predeceased by her parents John and Isabelle Baggott. She survived by her loving daughter Erin and her husband Ross Leiman; grandson Jordan; and former husband and friend Edward Gartell. Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 9am-11am at The Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main Street Endicott, New York 13760.
