Obituary of Mary O. Johnson

Mary O. Johnson of Vestal Mary O. Johnson passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009 at the Vestal Nursing Center, Vestal, NY. Born May 16, 1912 in Boston, MA. She was will be reunited in heaven with her dear, beloved husband, Carl W. Johnson, her loving parents, Samuel H. McKeeman and Annie B. (Carroll) McKeeman; brothers, John Austin McKeeman, Daniel McKeeman, James McKeeman, Frederick McKeeman and her brother and best pal, Samuel H. McKeeman, who predeceased her one month ago. She is survived by her children, William C. (Bill) and Marion (Meg) Johnson of Spencer, NY and Cape Haze, FL, Carl H. and Janet Johnson of Harwich, MA, James A. (Jim) and Deena Johnson of Vestal, Ann-Marie Johnson of Vestal, Wixie, daughter-at-heart, Arlene and Fred Stuccio of Milford, PA; she had 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren she dearly loved. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, that wanted her to be remembered as the best aunt that you could ever have. She was a member of the Memorial Park Baptist Church of Vestal, NY and a resident of Vestal for over 60 years. She lived for her home and her family. Mary's greatest gift was her loving heart. She was a gracious lady, always young in spirit and ready for fun with her adoring children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a marvelous sense of humor and loved to laugh. She will be missed by all who loved her. The family would like to extend their deep appreciation and love to the wonderful staff at the Cypress Wing of the Vestal Nursing Center. They loved and cared for her with an enduring commitment and passion. A funeral service for Mary will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Marlene Steenburg, Sr. Pastor of the Memorial Park Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday from 6-8 p.m. There will be a brief memorial service at 8 p.m. Monday evening following calling hours.
