Obituary of Patrick Eugene Campbell

Our youngest brother, Patrick E. Campbell, 56, of Endicott, NY, passed away on September 24, 2022, after a short, but courageous battle with cancer. Patrick was predeceased by his father, Gerald P. Campbell, and brother, John E. Campbell; as well as by his paternal grandparents, John T. and Margaret Blanche Campbell; maternal grandparents, Leon D. and Irma I. Davis; uncles, John, Stanley, Richard, and Edward Campbell; and aunts, Mary and Loretta Campbell. Patrick is survived by his mother, MaryJane O'Hora; his brothers, Jerry, Dennis, and Kevin (Laurie) Campbell, and sister, Linda (Rocco) Fragnito; brother John's partner, Michael Oh, HI; niece, Nicole Fragnito (Vincent Ryan); nephew, Sean (Amy) Campbell; great-niece, Breena Campbell; and his aunt, Barbara Campbell, and many cousins. Patrick was born and raised in Endicott, NY, where he was surrounded by the care and love of the extended Campbell family who lived within a few blocks of each other. During his youth, he moved to New Jersey and Florida near the ocean, where he enjoyed the water and sunshine. He later returned to Endicott to live with his father. Patrick could always be found visiting and chatting with his family, friends, and neighbors. He loved to spend time outdoors and had a green thumb when tending to his yard and houseplants. The family extends their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at The Grand in Rome, NY for the outstanding care and compassion they showed Patrick for the last two years until his passing. Just about everyone at The Grand knew Patrick, and it was here that Patrick was very busy visiting, chatting endlessly, and laughing with all his friends and staff on Wing Four - especially his dearest and closest friends, Veronica, and roommate Scott, as well as his caretaker Gina, whom he adored. They all became his family and home away from home. Patrick will be forever loved and missed by his family. Thank you to family and friends for your support and prayers. A burial and memorial celebration of his life will be held this fall at the West Lodi Cemetery in Lodi, NY for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Patrick's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
