Obituary of William (Bill) Harry Shook

William H Shook (Bill) 85, of Apalachin went to be with the lord on Friday October 28, 2022. Born in Toledo, Ohio on May 13, 1937. He is pre-deceased by his parents Mary and Lamar Shook, wife of 54 years Bonnie shook, who was born in the same hospital as William exactly two weeks apart. William is survived by his children Wayne H Shook of New Orleans and Kimberly Harchar. He has one granddaughter Jessica A Harchar and one great granddaughter Annabeth. His sister Patricia and his cousin Gerry. William graduated with a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering from Ohio State. He worked for NASA in mission controls and engineering, then was subcontracted to IBM. He was also a boy scout leader and had a passion for ham radio. He was known as "K2OH". William enjoyed Geo-cashing with his granddaughter and was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Vestal for 49 years. William was a giving man who would help anyone in need and always had a smile on his face. Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church 709 Main Street Vestal, NY 13850 on Monday November 14th from 9:30am viewing followed by 11:00am funeral service.
