Obituary of Mary A Carlson

Mary Carlson, 100, of Maine, NY, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, December 10, 2022. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry, and brothers Emil and Joseph Stastny. She is survived by son Gary Carlson and daughter Chere (Edwin) Baldwin, grandchildren Kevin (River) Baldwin and Shannon (Greg) Boains, great-grandchildren Tyler and Tara Boains and Alice Baldwin. Also brother and sister-in-law Rudy and Judy Stastny, and sister-in-law Sandie Stastny, along with several nieces and nephews, among whom was her god-daughter Barbara Stastny. Mary loved spending time at the cottage on Eatonbrook Reservoir. She spent many happy hours out on the lake fishing with her husband and son. Once no longer able to fish, she passed time crocheting prayer shawls for Most Holy Rosary Church. She was a kind and caring person who was always ready to lend a helping hand. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 11AM at Most Holy Rosary Church in Maine, NY. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday morning from 10AM until service time . Burial will be in Maine Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N. McKinley Ave., Endicott, NY
