Obituary of John U. Chambers

John U. Chambers, (80), of Apalachin, New York, passed away peacefully at Mercy House in Endicott after a short battle with cancer on January 27, 2023. John is survived by his daughter Jennifer Maddock (Chambers); son James (Crystal) Chambers; and four grandchildren: Jason, Lucas, Sienna and Caden. He also leaves behind his brother, Clive, Jr. (Pat) Chambers; nephews A. J. (Jen) Chambers, and Christian (Tammy) Chambers; and niece Sarah (Jason) Potter. John was predeceased by his beloved wife Deidre of 42 years; and his parents Clive Sr. and Gertrude Chambers. John was born October 27, 1942 in Ogdensburg, New York. After graduating from Clarkson University, he was employed by Singer Link, and then later by IBM as an electrical engineer. John adored his wife and was always eager to share his pride of his daughter, son and grandchildren. His fondness for animals, sports, and music was well-known. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E Main St, Endicott, NY.
