Jackie, my mom, Angela (Contento) McIsaac and Sandy (Niles) Lerner were a threesome that couldn’t be beat! They were best of friends since age 15. Imagine that! They never lost touch and spoke quite often as they lived hundreds of miles apart. They travelled together every year. I can remember mom making her lobster salad to bring to Sandy’s cabin in Old Forge every summer. That was always her treat to “the girls”. The hiking and the kayaking might have taken a back seat but the laughs and stories only got better. Jackie was always the funniest and probably the freshest of the three. She had the best laugh. More recently, she befriended my cousin Carrie. Talk about a pair that could beat a full house. The two of them spent countless hours doing errands, going to appointments and simply enjoying each other’s company.
I did not know Jackie’s family, but I can only imagine the void that her passing will leave in your lives.
