Obituary of Lorraine (Laurie) M. Spencer
'He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away'
Laurie was met at the pearly gates by those who preceded in death before her and welcomed with open arms; her grandparents, Fred (Ethel) Brewer and Frank (Beatrice) Gabriel, father Neil Brewer, sister Cheyenne, uncles Wesley Gabriel, Gleason Brewer, Ed Murray, and cousin David Murray.
Laurie leaves behind two sons, Michael Ponzi (Nichole) and Derek Spencer (Sara), mother Lorraine Brewer, sisters Tanya Berish and Cindy Gates (Brian), nephews Kenny and Dave Ralston and Michael Gates, as well as her grandchildren which were very special to her, Giovanni and Adriana Ponzi and Blake and Gavin Spencer. She also leaves behind countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends whom she treasured her time with.
Laurie was a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She spent over 35 years working at IBM Endicott, EIT, and ended her career at i3Electronics where she created many special relationships. Laurie was an avid member of the Endicott Community Church of the Nazarene and spent most of her life thinking and taking care of others.
Family will receive friends on Thursday March 9th at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home (Main St. Endicott) from 4-6PM. A service officiated by Keith Hardy will follow on Friday the 10th at The Endicott Community Church of the Nazarene (Rt. 26 Endicott) at 10am with burial at Vestal Hills Cemetery following. Her family will be having a luncheon in her honor back at the church immediately following the burial.
