From Brenda Vink:
My childhood memories of my brother Stan include lots of snowball fights and sleigh rides. Stan grew up to join the Air Force, serve as best man at our wedding, and most importantly, become a true man of God. He was a gifted artist, painting beautiful oil miniatures. He loved his family and friends unreservedly. He would burst with pride for his sons, their families and "the best wife in the world." Stan and I spoke regularly, and although we sometimes disagreed, he always made me laugh. We ended each call with an "I love you," I was so proud of how he dealt daily with the challenges of his illness. Life will never be the same without hearing his voice on Tuesdays. But thanks to the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, I know I will see Stan in Heaven. His suffering is over, and he is rejoicing with our Lord right now. One day Stan will no doubt make me laugh again.
Until then, Little Brother.
