Obituary of Joyce Ann Stewart

Stewart, Joyce Ann, 86, of Vestal, NY was called home to be with her Savior on May 19, 2023, "He calleth his own sheep by name." John 10:3. "Absent from the body, and present with the Lord." 2 Cor. 5:8. Joyce was born on December 2, 1936 in Binghamton, NY and adopted by loving Christian parents Dick and Doris Savage. As a child, she put her trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. She spent her happy childhood on LeRoy St. in Binghamton and later in Vestal, NY. Joyce worked for many years as an RN in the Wilson Hospital NICU. She raised five children; Stephen (Carol), Paula Leab (Marty), Beth (Vince), John, and William (Felicia). The Lord also blessed her with eighteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren who loved their "Grammy" and was anticipating two more great-grandchildren on the way. Joyce was also a talented porcelain and watercolor artist and teacher. She is survived by her brothers and sister, Gerald Savage, John Savage, Marjorie VanHart, and Daryl Savage, and is predeceased by her parents and brother Richard Savage. A funeral will be held at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main Street in Vestal, NY. Calling hours, Tuesday, May 23rd from 5-7pm and Wednesday, May 24th 10-11am followed by the funeral service at 11am. Burial service will be at the Vestal Center Cemetery, Rt. 26, Vestal, NY.
