Don’t grieve for me for now I’m free,
I’m following the path God laid for me
I took his hand when I heard him call,
I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I’ve found that peace at the close of day
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow
My life’s been full, I’ve savored much,
Good friends, good times, my loved one’s touch
If my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your heart, rejoice with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
Our love & prayers are with you Joe & family
Sally’s twinkle in her eyes & tender heart will be remembered all our days

I was so terribly sad to hear of Sally's passing. One of the last times I saw her, at Splish Splash water volleyball in The Villages, I was standing alone and she came up and asked me how I had been, that she hadn't seen me in a while...she probably sensed that I was "off" that day and I was so touched by her thoughtfulness...and I'm thankful that is my last memory of her.

My darling friend may you Rest in Eternal Peace. I shall hold dear all our memories, our daily lunches in the IBM/Lockheed cafeteria. Then oodles of talks, walks, hikes after retirement. I marveled at your stunning blue eyes and perfectly accessorized outfits to coincide with each season & holiday! You treasured family and your beautiful grandchildren. How you loved to relate, and I adored hearing, stories of your grandmother McCarthy and your love of Owego. Be at peace now, my dear. Rest easy knowing Joe and your ‘kids’ will be okay. I will carry you in my heart, my angel, my bestie. Pray for me.
“I am with you always, said the Lord. He that believes in me, even though he dies, shall have eternal life”. John 11:25

Joe, Joey, Laura and your families we are so incredibly sorry for your loss. Sally was simply a beautiful person inside and out. I remember how Sally and I would call each other and laugh at all the times at work I received her emails and she received mine. I have such great memories of hanging out at the MANY basketball games, the family gathering, the summer concerts, playing pitch at the Elks and the senior trip last summer at Skaneateles to name a few. Above all else, I will most fondly remember not only how much I enjoyed Sally’s company but how easy she was to talk to. That was a very special gift. When I had a loved one who was dealing with depression, Sally tried to help me understand. Sally, I hope you are truly at peace now. Sally will be truly missed by Ron & I and all the people whose lives she touched. To quote the Irish blessing “Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand”. Ron and I will both miss you. God Bless

We have only known Sally for a few years through a mutual friend. She would winter in The Villages, Florida and met her in a water aerobics class. She was such a special person, and we shared many good times together. She and our mutual friend celebrated our summer birthdays together this pass year. We were planning to make it a tradition. We will forever miss you, Sally, and hope you have found peace!
