Obituary of Robert E. Grabow

Robert E. "Bob" Grabow, 97, passed away on June 6th, 2023, from natural causes, having led a long and full life with no regrets. He was predeceased in 2012 by his loving wife, Mary, and their son, Robert Jr., of Vestal, NY. His son, Martin, of Kirkwood, NY, passed away in May of 2023. He is survived by one son, William, of Boulder, Co. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII aboard the USS Antietam in the Pacific. He was a well-known insurance agent in the area having made friends with many of his colleagues and clients, and never considered retiring until age 85 because he truly enjoyed socializing with them. Some of his happiest times were spent on family camping vacations and fishing trips to Canada with friends. A graveside service will be held at Riverhurst Cemetery in Endwell, NY at 10 a.m. on July 17th. A final heartfelt thank you to the friends and neighbors who helped him through the most difficult year of his life, as well as the senior living center staff who cared for him in his later years.
