Obituary of John E. Arnold

Mr. John E. Arnold, age 48, of Endicott, unexpectedly passed away at home on August 30, 2023. Born in California, to Edward J. Arnold and Mary Kathleen Brooks-Arnold. John was a 1993 graduate of Union Endicott High School as well as a student of SUNY Broome. He was a longtime employee of Felix Roma & Sons Bakery, working for 25+ years, eventually reaching the level of production supervisor for both shifts. He was very good at his job and had the respect of those who worked under him. He was tough but fair boss and respected all who worked there. He believed in working hard and earning everything you get. John was loved and cherished by those who knew him, whether that be his family, both immediate and extended, or the many people he considered to be friends. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten. His impact on the lives he touched during his life cannot be measured. John was a skilled artist and a creative mind that had so much potential, creating portraits on canvases as well as clothing, namely t-shirts and sketches. He was a very imaginative person when it came to art. Even tattooed for a short time for close friends. John was also a big fan of the local music scene, knowing a number of local bands and performers. Even filming for a few bands whenever he had the opportunity. He was a learning guitarist and musician in general. A true artist in every sense of the word. He was an avid thrift shopper, loving the challenge of finding true treasure items. He was well known around the local thrift stores, goodwill stores, and The Salvation Army. You could always count on him making the rounds almost every week, searching for those hidden gems. John is survived by his brother, Tom M. Arnold, 50, his sister Amy L. Arnold, 46. Many aunts and uncles, numerous cousins as well as all his friends who knew and loved him. He is predeceased by his father Edward Arnold in 2022, his mother Mary Arnold in 2019, as well as, uncles, aunts, and cousins on both sides of the family. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at 11 am at St. Ambrose Church, Endicott with visitation starting at 10 am.
