Obituary of Donna M. Kozich

Donna (Hills) Kozich, 87, of Endicott passed away peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on October 21, 2023 due to complications from Parkinson's disease. She was predeceased by her parents, Asa and Anna Hills; her loving husband, George Kozich; brothers Gerald and Karl Hills; sister-in-law Sally Hills and niece Suzanne Whalen. Donna is survived by sister-in-law, June Hills; nephews and nieces, Mike (Beth) Hills, Julie (Barbara) Brezee, Eric Hills, Kara (Bill) Bristow, Jerry (Kathleen) Hills and Mark (Jen) Hills. She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews, many of whom she helped babysit when they were young. Additionally, Donna is survived by many friends, neighbors, and extended family members. Donna was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and a devoted Catholic. She graduated from Union Endicott High School in 1954 and then worked as a secretary for at IBM for many years. Donna and George enjoyed walking around West Endicott and visiting with neighbors. When Donna moved from her home to assisted living, her wonderful Birdsall Street neighbors orchestrated a send-off parade with a visit from the West Endicott Fire Department, she was deeply touched by this. Donna's family wishes to thank special caregivers, Mike and Beth Hills, Mallory D'Amigo and Conchi Mitchell as well as the compassionate staff members at Brookdale West and Vestal Park for their loving care of Donna. Thanks also to Nancy Wheeler, Pam Harris, Jeanie King and Anne Cassidy Terrinore for their wonderful cards, phone calls and concern throughout her illness. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 30th at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Endicott at 10:30am. The Family will receive friends from 9:30am to 10:30am. Burial will take place in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott, NY after the mass. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna's memory can be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier.
