Obituary of George R. Wade Jr.

On Wednesday, November 15, 2023, George R. Wade, Jr. passed away at the age of 90. Born in Philadelphia, George joined the Air Force at age 17 and served during the Korean war. After discharge, he began working for IBM Corporation and was employed there until retirement. George was predeceased by his wife Cathy with whom he shared 52 wonderful years and by his son George. George had a love of Disney, airplanes, the outdoors, and ice cream. He adored his family and also considered himself to be extremely lucky to live in a neighborhood surrounded by close friends. He was an early riser, singing and whistling throughout the day. An eternal optimist, he answered the question of 'How are you?' with a response of 'Excellent'. George is survived by his younger brother Harry, his daughter Sharon, her husband Skip, and his cherished granddaughter, Olivia.
