Barbara Ann Fitzgerald Lanza, 58, of Endwell passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2024 after a brief illness surrounded by her family and friends. Barb lived a vibrant life full of joy, laughter and love. Her deep love of family and friends was her motivation behind everything she did. She loved and was loved by so many. Her greatest joy in life was being a mom, daughter, and wife. Barb is survived by the greatest gift in her life, her daughter Gianna, her devoted mother Patricia Fitzgerald and the love of her life, her husband John. Barb also leaves behind her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Roseann (Nana) and Philip Lanza (Papa); brothers in law Thomas (Marcia) Lanza and Louis Lanza as well as special nieces, nephews and cousins, especially her cousin, Patty Fitzgerald and nephew, Syd Lanza. Her faithful little furry girl Jazzy will miss her dearly. Barb was predeceased by her father, Frank Fitzgerald and her special uncle, Mike Fitzgerald. She was a devoted catholic and visited many of the local churches. She was a graduate of Union Endicott High School, Broome Community College and Binghamton University. She also attended Niagara University. She especially enjoyed working as a family advocate at the Family Enrichment Network in their Head Start Program until 2009 when she decided to stay at home to raise Gianna. She was also involved in helping her husband in the family business, Rossi's Pizza. Her greatest joy will always be her daughter Gianna and watching her perform in local theater. We will cherish all of the wonderful memories and friends we made at our condo in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She will forever be remembered by her family and friends.
