Obituary of George A. Homa

George A. Homa of Endicott George A. Homa, 87, of Endicott, passed away after a brief illness Monday, February 8, 2010, at Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton. He was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Julia Homa; his brothers, Charles and Alex J. Homa; a sister, Ann Mormino; and a nephew, John W. Homa. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Celeste, Endicott; a nephew and his wife, A. Michael and Christine Homa, Berkshire, NY; also several other nieces and nephews. George was a retired Endicott Police Sergeant with 35 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theater with the US Army. A funeral service for George will be held 5 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott, The Rev. David C. Seaver will officiate. Burial with Full Military Honors will be at the family's convenience in Riverside Cemetery, Endicott.
