Obituary of Esther G. Mazzini
Esther G. Mazzini, 76, went to be with the Lord on Friday June 21, 2024 at her home with family by her side. She was born in Lyndonville, Vermont July 2, 1947.
She was predeceased by her parents Aldis and Shirley (Fisher) Gorham, her brother Fred and sister Jane.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Carl; her children Michael (Kate) and David (Andrea); her grandchildren Ava, Luca, Stella, and Emilia; sisters Wanita Gardner (Don), Carolyn Guest (Rick), and Judith Doria (David); sister in law Andrea Gallegher; nieces Betsy(Nate), Peggy(Scott), Molly(Jeremy), Kate(Doug), and Regen(Shawn); and nephew Ben.
Esther graduated from nursing school in 1967 and worked in both Vermont and New York. She enjoyed the experience of raising her children and continued that experience with her grandchildren. She liked to travel. Going to the North East Kingdom in Vermont to visit family or attending a family gathering wherever it may be being a priority for her. The yearly trip with a group of diving and non-diving friends to the Caribbean was always a treat for her. Esther was very artistic and had a passion for sewing and quilting. She enjoyed being with her friends with the same interests as well as entertaining them with brunches and teas. She loved to talk and would engage virtually anyone in a conversation. Esther mostly loved sharing in the joy of others and hearing about what was next for them. This was especially true when chatting with her grandchildren as she loved sharing her childhood stories and hearing about their lives.
She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church for 47 years and always enjoyed working with the Catholic Women Conference, Endow and Mary's Meals.
Her favorite bible passage is Matthew 11:28.
The family would like to thank Guthrie Lourdes Hospice team for their dedicated and compassionate care they provided for our wife/mother/grandmother/sister.
