Obituary of Ruth V. Thomas
Ruth V. Thomas, 86, of Kirkwood, entered into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, July 6th. She was born in Scranton, PA then moved to Binghamton. She was predeceased by her loving husband Hank, and her parents Jack and Verna Garrison. She is survived by her daughter Sue, son Dave (Diane}, her brother Jack, her grandchildren Molly (Josh} and Josh, her great-grandchildren Ryleigh and Raegan and many other family and close friends. She was very active in Women's Aglow, Two Rivers Church, and senior group activities. She loved camping and traveling in their motorhome with her family. She played a large role in her husband's business, Custom Craft construction, and loved owning Skate World with her family. She spent her career at NY telephone company and ANSCO for many years. Ruth was a light in many lives; she will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be held at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, 300 East Main Street, Endicott, NY 13760 on Friday, July 12th. Calling hour will be from 11-12, followed by a service officiated by Pastor Will Hampton. Burial will be at Chenango Valley Cemetery, 120 Nowlan Road in Binghamton. In lieu of flowers, please kindly consider donations to organizations close to Ruth's heart; Feed the Children (PO Box 36, Oklahoma City OK 73101} and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital (262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105).
