Obituary of Charlotte L. Yetter

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Charlotte Lou (Stokes)Yetter, 93, died Wednesday, August 7th, 2024 peacefully at The Palmettos Assisted Living Center in South Carolina. Charlotte was married for 64 years to her soulmate, Lawrence, who preceded her in death. Charlotte was born on July 19th, 1931. Lawrence and Charlotte raised their family in Apalachin, NY and lived in the same house for over 50 years together. She is survived by her three children, Brian and Joy Yetter, Gary Yetter and Renee and Chris Hellmann. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Charlotte loved many summers at Forest Lake, PA with Lawrence and their children and later on they enjoyed traveling with their travel trailer visiting many states and parks. Charlotte and Lawrence were devoted members of Ross Corners Baptist Church. Charlotte served as a Primary Sunday School Teacher and also teaching in release time. She also served at Ross Corners Christian Academy in the lunchroom and also with Lawrence as a Senior Trip chaperon. A memorial service will be held, Friday, August 16th, 2024, at 11:00am at the Vestal Hills Memorial Park Chapel, 3997 Old Vestal Rd, NY 13850. Burial will follow in the Vestal Hills Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Charlotte Yetter's memory to the Ross Corners Christian Academy, 2101 Owego Rd, Vestal, NY 13850.
