Obituary of Victoria Hopko
Victoria (Smolinsky) Hopko of Endicott
Victoria (Smolinsky) Hopko, 93 of Endicott, died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Elizabeth Church Manor. She was born March 7, 1917. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael J. Hopko in 1979; her parents, Ferdinand and Henrietta Smolinsky; seven sisters, Margaret Babicek, Mary Rishavy, Anna Striep, Josephine Bartal, Mary Chase, Jane Pratt, Rose Smolinsky; four brothers, Neil Smolinsky, Rudy Powers, Henry Smolinsky. Fred Smolinsky. She is survived by her brother, Paul Smolinsky; three children, Patricia Gavula, Johnson City, Richard and Mary Hopko, Endicott, Sally and Bil Thuma, Toronto, Canada; eight grandchildren, Michael G. Hopko, Stacey Hopko, widow of Andrew Hopko, Joseph and Marie Hopko, Lori and Scott Roe, John and Kathy Gavula, Amy and Danny Tomminello, Kristin and Jason LaFave, Jessica and David Brinsmead; five great-grandchildren, Michael A. Hopko, Jennifer Gavula, Olivia Hopko, Jack Hopko and Cameron Roe.
The funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Monday at St. Ambrose Church, 203 Washington Ave., Endicott. The family will receive friends 9:00 to 10:00 AM Monday at the church. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the charity of one's own choice in Victoria's memory. The family would like to thank the June Street neighbors for their concern.
