Obituary of Fredric A. Sherer

Fredric A. Sherer of Apalachin Fredric A. Sherer, 75, of Apalachin, NY passed away Monday, April 26, 2010 at Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by a daughter, Rebecca. He is survived by his wife, Jane; one son and one daughter, one brother, Jack and his family; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Fred also leaves behind his two feline friends and companions, Magic and Purllee. Fred was a retired employee of the IBM Corp. with forty years of service and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He volunteered for the Conklin Volunteer Fire Department and the Fred L. Waterman Conservation center. He served in the U.S. Army. The family wishes to thank Paul and Bob for their loyalty to Fred. At Fred's request there will be no funeral service. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 1,2010 from 1 to 3 PM at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main Street, Vestal. Those wishing may make contributions in his memory to the Stray Haven Animal Shelter, 194 Shepard Road, Waverly, NY 14892 or the charity of one's choice.
