Obituary of Patricia Jane Stuempfle

Patricia Jane Stuempfle of Johnson City Patricia Jane Stuempfle, 85, of Johnson City, died Thursday morning, May 20, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Helen Madenfort. She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, William Stuempfle; sister, Joan McMaken; brother and sister-in-law, James and Jane Madenfort; son, Michael Stuempfle; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jack Palmer II; two grandsons, Patricia's pride and joy, Dr. Jack P. Palmer the III and Dr. Christopher Palmer. Patricia graduated from Williamsport High School in 1942, with her husband William and graduated from Bucknell University in 1945. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Endicott, and its Woman's Club. She was a volunteer coordinator at Wilson and Lourdes Hospitals, loved cooking, gardening, playing bridge with her friends. She spent her life being a devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church, 29 Grant Ave., Endicott. The Rev. Janice Devine will officiate. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday at the church. Those wishing, may make contributions to the memorial fund of the First Presbyterian Church, 29 Grant Ave. Endicott, NY, 13760 in Patricia's memory, in lieu of flowers.
