Obituary of Joyce Solomon

Joyce Solomon Joyce Solomon, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday May 27, 2010. She is survived by close housemates and friends; Meredith, David, Calvin, Jessica, George, Harry and Sterling. Her life was enriched and supported by many friends, staff and advocates over the years. She will be missed by staff, past and present from Handicapped Children's Association, Community Options and Achieve. Joyce had a love of life and zealously pursued items that interested her, she had a keen eye for detail, a love of the outdoors, and Dunkin Donuts. She enjoyed sharing a good cup of coffee especially when accompanied by friends and a bit of banter. She loved shopping, a good massage, and a relaxing jaccuzzi. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor, at Otsinigo Park immediately following the Committal Services at the cemetery. Contributions may be made in her memory to create a memorial garden at her home. Solomon Garden Fund C/O HCA 18 Broad St Johnson City, NY 13790. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11AM from the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home 300 East Main St, Endicott. The Rev Mark Giroux will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Forest Cemetery, Binghamton. Friends may call at the Funeral Home Wednesday from 10AM until Service time at 11AM.
