Obituary of Jeanne L. Macri

Jeanne L. Macri of Apalachin Jeanne L. Macri, 72, of Apalachin, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010. She is predeceased by a son, Kenneth P. Macri. She is survived by her husband, Frank of Vestal; two daughters, Kathy Macri and her partner, Dee Dee Korchak of Owego, Wendy and Jim Hickin, Endwell; one son, James Macri, Phoenix, Arizona; three grandchildren, Danielle, Kristine and Brian Hickin, all of Endwell; one cherished cousin, Rita Yeates and her husband, Gordon and their children and spouses, Lisa and Jack Lambe, Chris and Laura Yeates, Matthew and Karen Yeates, Valery and Christopher Shaw, and all of their children. Jeanne graduated from Binghamton Central High School in 1954. She worked briefly at IBM Owego before she dedicated her life to raising her children. She was a member of Beta Kappa Phi Sorority where she formed many lifelong friendships. She also enjoyed working with children through the Tioga Hills Cub Care Program. She treasured the bond between the Macri and Bado families, Fran, Jan, Kelly, Carolee, Sue and Chris. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards with her friends and was particularly fond of children, especially her three lovely grandchildren. The family would like to thank the Staff at Castle Gardens for being so accommodating. A funeral for Jeanne will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 17th, at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Jan Marsi, Pastor of the Endwell United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
