Obituary of Donald Messersmith

Donald Messersmith of Vestal Donald Messersmith, 97, passed away Sunday morning, July 25th, 2010, at his residence in Vestal, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Trisa Messersmith; and his brothers, Collins, Raymond; and sister, Evelyn. He is survived by his wife, Jane; two sons and their spouses, Jerry and Belinda of Vestal, Thomas and Cindy of Brackney, PA. He proudly served his country in WWII, and retired from IBM Endicott after many years of service. Don was an outdoorsman who loved fishing and farming. His sons often referred to their father as "DB", short for his David Brown tractor. At Donald's request, funeral services will be private. Interment will be held at Vestal Hills Cemetery. Those wishing may make a contribution to a charity of one's choice in Don's memory.
