Viola M. Stevens
Viola M. Stevens, 76, of Endicott, passed away after a short illness on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at Wilson Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, Bev and Reva Prince; sisters, Mable Bronson, Mary Northrop, Veta Antalek; and brother, Jim Cannon. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Pender; and son, Eric Stevens of Virginia; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her four brothers, Harold, Jerry, Jack Prince and Steve Cannon; three sisters, Ruth Prince, Sharon Fox, Gayle Williamson; and many nieces, nephews and her many friends. She was a quiet, gentle person, except when it came to watching the NY Yankees baseball and Giants football on TV where you could hear her cheering the teams on even if you were outside. She loved playing Bingo at the Broome West Senior Center and trying her luck at the casinos. Vi will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service for Vi will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home Inc., 765 Main St., Vestal with Pastor Rex Bell of LifeQuest Community Church officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00.
