Obituary of Virginia Mitchell Lawyer

Virginia Mitchell Lawyer | Visit Guest Book Virginia Mitchell Lawyer of Endicott, NY passed away peacefully on Friday, December 10th, 2010 after a short illness. She was the widow of Robert O. Lawyer who passed away on April 6, 2010. Born in Scranton, PA on May 12th, 1932 she was the daughter of the late John C. Mitchell and Edith Twordusky Mitchell. She was predeceased by her brother John C. Mitchell Jr. Virginia was a graduate of Marywood Seminary and Hahnemann School of Nursing Class of 1953. For many years she was active in Real Estate as an agent for Dick Mitchell Real Estate, Dick Huttleston Realty and retired as office manager at Shellin and Wells. While residing in Pittsford, NY she was the office manager at Pittsford Pediatrics. Virginia was a member of the St. Ambrose Parish. She always made the needs of others a priority, volunteering at Project Concern and Mother Theresa's Cupboard. She is survived by her children, Michael Quigley, Laura and Manuel Menendez, David and Susan Quigley, Robert and Kris Lawyer and her grandchildren who were the light of her life, Martin, Daniel, Clover, Brian, Aidan, Jared and William. Virginia is also survived by a very special sister-in-law Marge Mitchell of Warwick, NY and the father of her children, Joseph M. Quigley of Naples, Fla. A Memorial Mass will be offered for Virginia on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 10 am from St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 203 Washington Ave. Endicott, NY. The family will receive their friends on Sunday from 1 to 4 PM at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St. Vestal. Donations to Mother Theresa's Cupboard, St. Ambrose, 203 Washington Ave. Endicott, NY 13760 in Virginia's name would be appreciated by the family.
