Obituary of Lyle Barton
Lyle F. Barton
Lyle F. Barton, 66, born April 15, 1944, left his earthly family, Wednesday, January 12, 2011. He was predeceased by his mother, Betty Barton, and his father, Lyle H. Barton. He is survived by his wife, Eunice (Rincavage) Barton, and his children Christina and Gerald Caffrey of Vestal; Jean and Scott Garthwaite of Lakeland, FL; and Lori Harvey of Lakeland, FL; and their children Erin and Emma Caffrey, Sarah Garthwaite and Aiden Harvey. He is also survived by his step children, Denise and Mark Conrad of Endwell; Sherri and Fran Campos of Endwell; S. Sean and Lori Rincavage of Glen Aubrey; Debra and Darrin Avery of Johnson City; and Timothy and Tiffany Rincavage of Gibson, NY; and their children Geoff and Kristina Conrad, Megan and R. Brandon Gregory, Patrick and Kortney Rincavage, Taylor Avery and Livia Rincavage. Also surviving are his brother, Keith and Sharon Barton, sister, Karen Barton and partner Laura Hargrove, his first wife, Kay O'Hare, and many family and friends. Lyle was a teacher for the Maine-Endwell School district for 38 years. While there, he was involved in both the boys and girls soccer programs and for many years he kept score for the girls basketball team. Upon his retirement, Lyle spent much of his leisure time working for two auction houses: Tom Closser Auctions and Pegasus Auctions. He was the webmaster for St. Paul's Episcopal Church, a collector of lighthouses and an avid fan of the New York Mets.
Memorial Services for Lyle will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 10 am from St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 200 Jefferson Ave. Endicott, NY with the Very Rev. John Martinichio officiating. The family will receive their friends on Monday from 5 to 7 pm at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St. Endicott In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Paul's Episcopal Church CHAP program.
