Obituary of Gladys VanNosdall

Gladys M. Van Nosdall of Apalachin Gladys M. Van Nosdall, 80, born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and of Apalachin, died early Thursday morning, November 20, 2008. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Ernest Van Nosdall (March 29, 1992). She is survived by four daughters and their husbands, Gail and Ken Brown, Albany, N.Y., Debbie Van Nosdall and Jack Harasta, Johnson City, Kim and Doug Walters, Brackney, Pa., and Kathleen and John Distler, Westminster, Md.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Loeb, Endicott; and a brother, Edward Sparks, Hyde Park, N.Y. At Gladys's request, there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon, Monday, November 24, at the Apalachin United Methodist Church, Pennsylvania Avenue, Apalachin. The Rev. Mary Jean Simonin will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall of the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Appleseed Pre-School, c/o the Apalachin United Methodist Church, P.O.
