Obituary of Joan Riley

Joan A. (Loeffler) Riley Joan A. Riley, 76, Of Endicott, died Friday, April 29th 2011 at Susquehanna Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy and Ellsworth Loeffler, and Joseph Riley. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, John Riley; her children, Paul and Barbara Riley, of Endicott, Scott and Beth Riley of Endicott, NY and Jackie and Eric Foster of Saranac Lake, NY; 8 grandchildren, Joshua Riley, Kayla (Riley) & Alex French, Shane & Amber Riley, Colin Riley (finacee Alexandria Young), Ian Riley, Alex Foster, Matthew Foster (Bethany Vega) and William Foster and one great-grandchild, Jack Riley. She is also survived by her sister, Sharon George, her husband's siblings Agnes Neville, Mary Riley, Patrica Hutchinson, Cathy & Kent Edsell, Michael Riley, Dorothy & Barry Angel, Tom & June Riley, Barbara & Daniel Boland, Ann & Terry Silvernail, Jane & Keith Nichols, and many nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Joan enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Joan was an avid reader. She always wanted to travel and as health prevented this, she did so through books. Joan and John enjoyed spending their summers at their cottage, Lawrence View, on the St. Lawrence River, Clayton, NY. The family would like to give special thanks to the Susquehanna Nursing Home for the kind care of Joan and her family. Family and Friends may call at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 Main Street, Endicott, NY on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. followed by a brief service. A blessing will take place immediately afterwards at Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott, NY.
