Obituary of Joyce P Kenney

Joyce Kenney Vestal: Joyce Kenney, 69 of Vestal, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on June 30, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Katherine and Paul Hackling, son Jeffery Kenney and sister Cynthia Hackling. She is survived by her devoted husband Richard Kenney of 49 years; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Tessie Kenney; son and daughter-in-law David and Kelly Kenney; sister Patricia (Todd) Storm; niece Sara (Jeremy) Burchell, Phyllis Hackling; grandsons Patrick, Josh, Joey and Ryan; sister-in-law Joan Gardner; nephews Kenny (Debbie) Gardner and Tim (Michelle) Gardner. Joyce had many wonderful cousins as well as numerous friends. Her grandsons were her pride and joy and her greatest pleasure came from spending time with her family. She was an avid gardener, bird watcher and camping enthusiast. She had a special way of making us laugh! Her family and camping buddies will miss her dearly. A special thank you to Pam Kilpatrick, Stephanie Johnson, Cindy Katen and the rest of the Hospice team. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 2 pm from St. Marks Episcopal Church, River Road, Chenango Bridge. Fr. Mark Giroux, Rector, will officiate. Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery, Hillcrest at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12 noon until service time at 2 pm.
