Obituary of Jane A. Loeffler
Jane A. Loeffler (1920 - 2011)
. Endicott: Jane A. Loeffler, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2011 at Ideal Skilled Nursing Center. She was born in Endicott on May 29, 1920, the daughter of Delbert and Alyene Dunham. Jane was predeceased by her sister, Charity (Dunham) Seifert and her brother, Delbert Dunham, Jr. She is survived by Charles, her loving husband of 69 years, her children, Susan (James) Canfield, Curtis (Terrie) Loeffler, and Judy (Paul) Marcyan, and by her grandchildren, Holly & Andrew Glover, Jeffrey & Sarah Loeffler, and Renee Marcyan. She is also survived by her brothers, George (lrene) Dunham, Franklin (Ann) Dunham, her sister, Elizabeth Twoomey, and many nieces and nephews. Jane graduated from Union-Endicott High School. She was a member of the Union Center United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and the church choir. She was also a volunteer at Wilson Memorial Hospital for several years. Jane was a "homebody' who enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, and especially spending time with her family. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Lily Court at Ideal Skilled Nursing Center for their kind and compassionate care of Jane, with special thanks to Jane's beloved Anne, Donna, and Diane.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 11 AM from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main Street, Endicott. Dorothy Gardner will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Endicott. In lieu of flowers, please consider making contributions in Jane's memory to the Union Center United Methodist Church or to the Union Volunteer Emergency Squad.
