Obituary of Jennie Slate

Jennie J. Slate Endwell: Jennie J. Slate (Anderson), 85, of Endwell, NY, passed away peacefully at home with her family and friends with her. She was born on November 30, 1925 and was predeceased by her husband, Robert Slate, her parents, Peter and Pearl Anderson, 4 brothers and 6 sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Slate) Greene and husband David, Dorothy (Slate) Whitaker and husband Richard, also 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was a long time employee of Walmart. She also took care of several elderly people over the years. Our family would like to thank Hospice of Lourdes for the care, patience, support and genuine concern for our Mom and for us. Funeral Services for Jennie will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 11:00 am from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott, NY. Burial will be in Tioga Cemetery, Owego. The family will receive their friends on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
