Obituary of Teal Hope Banas

Teal Banas Teal Hope Banas of Endwell, NY, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Monday October 4th, 2011 at the Kindred Hospital, Wilkes-Barre Pa. Born on February 23rd, 1961 in Endicott, NY and grew up in Apalachin, NY, she was predeceased by her mother Judith C. Banas, brother Guy S. Banas and grandmother Ina Roosa Stanton. She is survived by her father Stanley H. Banas and step-mother Virginia, brother Steven H. Banas and his daughters Sarah, Patience and Chelsea and their children. Also survived by sister in-law Linda Banas and children Amy & Andy, step brothers John, Terry, Bobby and Larry Minnick, step sisters Mary Metheny and Janet Bartlow and their children. Teal graduated from Owego Free Academy in 1980 and Taccoa Falls Bible College in 1984. She did secretarial work but is best remembered for her caring of family and friends in their times of need. Teal enjoyed Christian music, her cats and a good conversation. The family wishes to thank her dear friend Helga Woertler, the staffs and doctors at Wilson and Kindred hospitals for their care. The family will receive friends at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Rte 434 Apalachin NY, on Thursday October 6th from 7-9pm and again on Friday October 7th from 1 - 3pm followed by a service with Pastor Todd Wolfe of the Owego Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. Interment will be at a later date.
