Obituary of Claire Rummer

Claire R. (Caprio) Rummer Endicott: Claire R. Rummer, 88, of Endicott, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday October 10, 2011. She was welcomed by her husband Jack to celebrate what would have been his birthday. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Margaret (Caprio) Mooney, Louise Caprio; and one brother, Thomas Caprio; and brother-in-law, Harold (Helen) Rummer and sister-in-law Sue Caprio. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Tony) Wiszowaty; and grandchildren, Katie (Joey) Giordano, Anthony Wiszowaty and Shane Wiszowaty, all of St. James, New York; two brothers, Joseph Caprio and Jack (Jeanne) Caprio; and many many nieces, nephews and cousins. Claire had fond memories of painting the original carousel horses at EJ Park. She was a former member of the Endicott Elks Auxiliary, former employee of IBM Endicott and EJ Corp and a lifelong member and donation coordinator of UVES Inc. Claire always enjoyed baking cookies, crafts and entertaining. Visitors never left her home empty-handed. She was a graduate of Union Endicott High School. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott and 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church where a funeral mass will be offered. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Claire's memory to the Union Volunteer Emergency Squad, 8 South Avenue B, Endwell, NY 13760.
