Obituary of Mahlon David Pease, Jr.

Mahlon Pease Jr. (1927 - 2011) Apalachin: Age, 83, born December 20, 1927, in Elkland, PA, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 at Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, after a lengthy illness. He was predeceased by his parents Mahlon and Bertha Pease, two sisters, LaVerna Mullen and Naomi Pease. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley (Walter) Pease, whom he married on May 28, 1954. He is also survived by three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Charles and Dorothy Pease, Glen Aubrey, NY, Jerry and Mary Pease, North Carolina and Larry Pease, Endicott, NY., two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Martin Walter, Vestal, NY, Frank and Cora Walter, Vestal, NY and also many very special nieces and nephews. Mahlon moved to Endicott to work for Endicott - Johnson where he remained for 40 years. He loved to do ceramics, paintings, and crafts. He was a member of the Vestal Center United Methodist Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. McCarville and the entire staff of Ross 3 at Lourdes Hospital for the excellent care they gave Dave. A funeral service for Dave will be held Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home at 765 Main St., Vestal. The Rev. Jane Bensley, pastor of his church, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM.
